Terms of service
Thank you for choosing Silk Huis Amsterdam! Please carefully read the following terms and conditions, as booking implies your agreement with these policies. All sales are final.
Non-Refundable and Non-Reschedulable
All bookings are final. Tickets and bookings are strictly non-refundable and non-reschedulable under any circumstances. Cancellations or missed events will not be eligible for any refund or transfer. Tickets may be transferred to another person; however, it is the buyer’s responsibility to find a replacement and inform Silk Huis of the name change.
Payment Confirmation
Full payment is required in advance to confirm a booking. If payment is not received, the booking will remain unconfirmed, and the slot may be made available to other clients.
Accuracy of Booking Details
Clients are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all booking details, including dates, times, and attendee names. Once confirmed, bookings are final and cannot be adjusted.
Setup and Packing Time
Please allocate enough time for both setup (e.g., hair, makeup) and cleanup within your booking period. The studio must be left in the same condition it was found, and all belongings must be removed at the end of the session. Please vacate promptly to ensure smooth transitions between bookings.
No-Show and Late Arrival Policy
Clients are expected to arrive on time. Late arrivals or no-shows are non-refundable and will not be rescheduled. We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early. This policy also applies to photoshoots, and late arrivals do not extend the scheduled time. If you are more than 30 minutes late without prior notice, your booking will be forfeited.
Equipment
All studio equipment will be checked before and after each session. Any damage caused by the client or their team will be charged based on the extent of the damage. Silk Huis Amsterdam is not soundproofed, and clients are expected to avoid excessive noise. Clients should ensure they are comfortable using the equipment or request assistance. Silk Huis Amsterdam is not liable for any losses due to unreported equipment issues. The equipment list may change without notice.
Catering
Clients bringing food must ensure minimal mess and proper waste disposal. A cleaning fee starting at €20 will apply if the studio is not left tidy. Excessive waste may incur an additional removal fee. Clients must take any garbage made by themselves upon leaving.
Additional Requests
Additional requests made during the booking are subject to extra charges and must be agreed upon verbally. If you plan to bring pets, please contact us in advance; any mess or damage will be charged to the pet owner. Similarly, if children will be present, inform us beforehand, as any mess or damage caused by children will be charged to their parents.
Liability and Insurance
Clients are responsible for securing adequate insurance coverage for personal items, equipment, and safety. Silk Huis Amsterdam is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses during events. Any damages caused by the client are the client’s responsibility and must be compensated accordingly.
Code of Conduct
Silk Huis Amsterdam reserves the right to ask disruptive guests to leave without refund. Please be considerate of other tenants by avoiding phone calls and loud noises in the hallway.
Force Majeure
Silk Huis Amsterdam is released from rental obligations in cases of force majeure, including floods, fires, strikes, or government actions. Clients cannot claim compensation in such instances.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law, and disputes will be settled by the competent court in the district where Silk Huis Amsterdam is located.
Amendments
Silk Huis Amsterdam reserves the right to amend these terms at any time without notice. Clients are responsible for ensuring all attendees are aware of these terms. The studio may not be used for parties unless prior permission is obtained.
